I finally sat down and resolved to get my Suse desktop and windows laptop to talk to each other. With the help of Swerdna's excellent tutorial (here) I can now share files, stream media and all those wonderful things a network's supposed to do. I don't know why I kept putting it off, except you should do the things you do well, and putting things off is one of the things I do best. Embarassed Anyway, I highly recommend Swerdna's tutorials, they are well written and accurate. Many thanks to him for sharing his knowledge.
